Preferred Computer Settings
We recommend the following configuration on your computer for optimal performance –
1. Pentium processor with at least a 64 MB RAM or Higher
2. Windows 95 (or a later version) or Windows NT
3. A browser (Internet Explorer Version should be 6.0 and above version)
4. A 1024 x 768 screen resolution
Please follow the below steps
1. Connect to the Internet and login to our website: www.rbs.in/broking
2. Click on the Trade Now link which will take you to the Internet Trading System.
3. Enter your User ID & Login Password.
4. When you log in for the first time you are required to change your Login Password and your Transaction Password. Your transaction password is not part of the Welcome kit and is sent through a separate courier for security reasons.
5. For placing orders with the exchange, you need to enter your Transaction password, in the order entry screen.
Password Instructions and Suggestions
1. While using or changing your Password, please remember that the Passwords are case sensitive. i.e. H (upper case) is different from h (lower case). Be sure to use the correct upper and lower case.
2. Your password should contain a minimum of 6 characters and should not exceed 12 characters.
3. The password should be alphanumeric, i.e. should have at least one alphabet, one digit and can have a single special character.
4. No space is allowed in between characters in the password.
A few handy security tips
1. The Password changed by you should not be the same as the Password issued by us.
2. For security purposes, your password should not include your User ID and your Transaction password should be different from your Login password.
3. The best passwords are ones that are difficult to guess. Try using a password that consists of a combination of numbers, letters (both upper case and lower case), punctuation and special characters.
4. You should change your password regularly and use a different password for each of your accounts.
5. You can change the passwords as frequently as you wish (using the facility available in the My Details option). Your password expires every 14 days. Please change both your Login and Transaction passwords when the system prompts you to do so.
6. Please avoid setting your password to a similar password you may have used at another Internet site.
7. Do not save your passwords or User ID on your browser.
8. Please ensure that you use the “logout” button when finished with Internet Trading and close your browser window after logging out.
9. For security purposes, your last login date and time is mentioned. Inform us if you notice any unusual activity in your accounts.
10. Your User ID gets disabled if you do not use Internet Trading for more than 90 days
11. Three wrong login attempts will disable your User ID. You would have to contact our Customer Care Service or write in to us for re-activation of the Internet Trading account.
12. It is preferable if you use the Internet Trading Platform from your own computer (if you happen to use a computer other than your own, for example, you won't know if it contains viruses or spyware). If you do use another computer, be sure to delete all of the your "Temporary Internet Files" and clear all of your "History" after you log off your account.
Forgotten your password ? Password Locked ? User ID Disabled?
Please contact our Customer Care Service and our executives will arrange to enable your User ID or reissue a fresh password, as the case maybe. Alternatively, you may also submit a written request at any of our branches or send us an email (from the email id registered with us) on the below mentioned e-mail ID.

2. Any online assistance / error messages will be shown in a pop-up window.
3. Click on an icon only once, to avoid errors.
What are the key security features in the site?
RBS Broking uses a combination of robust processes, highly secure technology and state-of-the-art infrastructure to provide you a very secure Internet Trading experience.
128 bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption
This is the most recommended level of security for transactions on the Internet . SSL encryption allows RBSEIL to encrypt information, so that when it travels through the Internet, it is encrypted and cannot be accessed by anyone else or is not tampered with. By viewing the URL/address/location line of your browser, you can determine if you are in a secure mode by looking for https://. (In contrast http:// would represent a non-secure transmission.)
VeriSign certification
This Internet Trading site is certified by VeriSign as a VeriSign Secure Site. VeriSign, Inc. is the leading provider of trusted infrastructure services to websites, enterprises, electronic commerce service providers and individuals. (www.verisign.com)
Unauthorized access
In case there are three unsuccessful attempts to log in to Internet Trading, your User ID is disabled to prevent any unauthorized access. Furthermore, if you have logged in to Internet Trading and have not used the application for 10 minutes, the system automatically logs you out. This is to prevent any unauthorized access of your account, in case you have left your computer unattended, without having logged out of Internet Trading.
