1. Am I eligible for opening a trading account

Ans.

Any individual, Hindu undivided family (HUF), proprietary firm, partnership firm, or a Company, trust etc.can open an account with RBSEIL Any brokerage and investment advisory services described herein are not intended for U.S. Persons.

2. How do I open an account?

Ans.

It's simple! Apply Online, or call us on our customer care nos given below or visit our local branch nearest to you.

3. What accounts do I need to open to trade through RBS Broking?

Ans.

The following accounts are needed to be opened to operate your RBS broking -
a. ABN AMRO Bank account, with ABN AMRO Bank N.V.
b. ABN AMRO Depository Participants (DP) Account, with ABN AMRO Bank N.V (Depository Services).
c. RBS Broking Account, with RBS Equities (India) Limited.

This single- window of Broking, Banking & Depository Participant account would provide a one- stop shop for all your trading in the stock markets. The convenience of a 3-in-1 feature, offers a hassle-free trading experience.

Please note that as a result of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc (“RBS”) led consortium's acquisition of ABN AMRO Bank N.V. (“ABN AMRO”) in late 2007 some entities within the ABN AMRO Group are required to be renamed.

As part of this process, ABN AMRO Asia Equities (India) Limited will change its name to RBS Equities Limited with effect from 1 July 2009. Legal ownership structure is not impacted by the renaming.

5. What are the Account Opening Charges for opening the trading account?

Ans.

There is an Account opening Charge of Rs. 800/- only for Resident Indians only. For further details please refer to the Schedule of Charges on our website.

6. What is the brokerage that would be charged to me?

Ans.

7. What documents would I receive once the account is opened?

Ans.

You will receive a welcome kit containing the following:
a. A welcome letter containing details of your account with us
b. You will also receive your login password and trading Password
c. A Road Guide providing you with Step by Step process for operating your account
d. A copy of the Account Opening Form executed by you for your reference.

8. Is the RBS Equities (India) Limited Broking website secure for me to trade on?

Ans.

Absolutely! We use the most advanced encryption technology, Secure Socket Layer (SSL), to ensure that the information transmitted between you and us across the Internet is safe and cannot be accessed by any outsider.

SSL has been universally accepted on the World Wide Web for authenticated and encrypted communication between clients and servers. The security certificate for our site is obtained from Verisign and the security encryption level on RBSEIL 128bit.

9. How do I update the contact details in the Trading Profile?
